A few weeks ago I had the honor to make the first step in investing in a quality legal education by taking a tour of the University of San Francisco (USF) School of Law.

My first impression of the School of Law was absolutely impressive to me. The tour began when I entered the admissions office of the University of San Francisco (USF) School of Law. I met the tour guide. His name was Vincent. He was a fourth-year J.D./M.B.A. student at the University of San Francisco School of Law. He told me about his experience(s) as a law student at USF. He told us about the many externships, internships, and summer positions that he acquired as a student at USF. Currently, he is working as an intern for the legal department of Clorox Corporation in Oakland, California.

We took a tour of the USF Law School Law Library. OMG this law library is the best library in the world. There is sunlight everywhere shining through the library, and it is very progressive both in design and administration. In my opinion, it is truly the law library for the city of San Francisco.

I've toured a few law schools in the South and here in the Bay Area. One of the major attributes that I've observed about the USF School of Law is that everyone here is very approachable. The students here are very friendly and very willing to take the time to tell me about their experiences as law students at the USF School of Law. One student said that of all the law schools that he applied to, he was very glad that he chose USF School of Law. Even the professors at the USF School of Law are approachable.

Vincent told me all about the school's commitment to public interest and social justice. The school's firm commitment to public interest; a commitment that I have been surrounded and exposed to since my time as an undergraduate at Benedict College. When you walk on the campus of USF, you can feel the aura of public interest and a desire to "change the world from here".

The highlight of the tour was when I had the chance to sit in on an actual law school class. I sat in on Professor Garvy's Contracts course. It was a large class with a lot of students in it. Professor Garvy uses the Socratic Method to teach students about contract law.

USF School of Law is truly my dream law school. When I dream about being a practicing attorney and judge, I can imagine myself in St. Ignatius Church on graduation day walking across the stage to receive my law degree. I can't wait to be a true USF Don!
